Organization for Medical Outreach to Communities is a non-governmental, non-profit organization with a purpose to save poor people who are not able to incur cost (charges) for their health when they are sick.
Our community is being vulnerable facing a lot of challenges mostly associated with health and health education. All these necessitate the founder members to initiate and form an organization to be known as
Organization for Medical Outreach to Communities.
This organization has intended to reach all the people with regardless to their age, race, religion and sex around Tanzania regions, since this has been a big problem, there is a number of people who suffer from different kind of diseases which are acute or chronic but are unable to get attention by doctors due to poverty.
OMOC aims at improving opportunities to
people in the community through the provision of the health outreach services and education and increasing awareness on life styles. OMOC works to create impact expanded access to quality, affordable health care for the poor by providing information, analysis, and connections for program managers, funders, researchers, and policy makers who work to enable the scale-up, replication, and improvement of promising innovations in health. OMOC provides volunteers with an opportunity to work first hand with experienced local doctors. This internship is designed to give volunteers an experience as close to being a practicing physician as is possible before going to medical school, while ensuring the safety of and ethical treatment of patients, by having all aspects of the work directed by licensed physicians.
